CULTURA, TURISMO, TURISMO CULTURAL: REFLETINDO SOBRE TEORIZAÇÕES POR MEIO DE UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA
Abstract
This article aims to strengthen and reframe research that deals with culture in the context of tourism. To do so, a narrative review is used, given its permeability with subjectivity and interconnection with the experiences of the proponent of this research, whose academic trajectory intersects with the field of Cultural Studies, a theoretical current that has culture as its primary object of study. Thus, this article is subdivided into four sections that aim to raise theoretical reflections on changes in the concept of culture and tourism, mainly with regard to its cultural basis, in order to problematize the pleonastic syntagma cultural tourism, with regard to the elaboration of tourist products, which are built through the use of culture. By pursuing this investigative trajectory, it was possible to highlight the role of culture in the development of tourism, through interpretation practices that focus on heritage sites, cities and places to convert them into tourist products. The productivity of these interpretative processes is particularly highlighted, which result from inventive dynamics, as by mobilizing culture, they establish tourist attractions in the surrounding area, which in addition to capturing the tourist's gaze due to their spectacularity, erected through mechanisms of representation, it also gives you the opportunity to have experiences that encompass other sensory senses, in line with the imperatives of the creative and hedonistic economy of contemporary times.
