O Caso da Quinta da Gaivosa
Abstract
The objective of this study is to determine the profile of wine tourism in the Douro Demarcated Region, in Portugal, namely at Quinta da Gaivosa. First, a literature review was carried out focusing on the theme of wine tourism, mainly in the region under study and, subsequently, a questionnaire was built that was applied to 75 wine tourists who went to Quinta da Gaivosa. The results show that the enotourists interviewed are predominantly men residing in Portugal, with an intermediate age, employed workers, with high purchasing power, as well as holders of higher education. On the other hand, wine tourists regularly consume wine and normally visit, accompanied by their family, wine estates two to three times a year. His main motivations for the practice of wine tourism are wine tasting, learning more about wines, the production process, and visiting cellars / wineries.
